Mazda want a stupid amount of money for one, and google is only turning up UK results. Anyone know where you'd get one in Aus for a reasonable price?
Alternatively, anyone got one spare?

Take yours to a Mazda wrecker and compare it to a 323/Astina one.

Good idea, I'll have a look on Tuesday

I'm in Melbourne, looking for a more permanent solution though as mine decided it would try it's hardest to catch fire :P Thanks for the offer!

Think you'll find many wreckers are closed until at least after NY day, e.g. AllMaz at Clayton are closed until 16 Jan. Don't about the Mazda wreckers at Dandenong & Seaford though. FWIW, you can also get those relays in good used condition off ebay if no one's open for a while.

No luck on the 323 relay, they're a four prong unit. Looking like I'll get the UK one, maybe try jury rigging it in the meantime.
From what I can tell, I may actually be better off with a modified 4 prong, as I don't believe the AFM safety device is still in use with a Megasquirt. Could explain why the original burnt out.

I replaced it with a relay from supercheap.
its been working for 6 months.

specs:
5 pin
40amp
12v

it was like 12 bux from memory as opposed to any I could source that were $50+ and if you go down that route I can help you with the wiring.

it will require either cutting off the old connector or splicing the lines and soldering the wires directly onto the pins of the new relay.

goodluck and feel free to pm me for more info
