wrong readings on gauges

Postby mito » Mon Aug 22, 2011 6:43 pm

i just bought some rings and pointers&pointer caps for my na6 from a forum member here (Y)

so i installed them today, ripped off the clear plastic part that protects the gauges and installed it all correctly (i think)

when i put everything back in, the rpm, petrol and temp on my car has such wrong readings.

i have full tank of petrol because i filled up today but its displaying quarter tank.
on idle car revs under 100rpm now it revs near 2000rpm and the temp is on high when it shouldnt be and hasnt been.

the speedo and oil gauge seem to be fine though.

help please.

You need to put the needles back on with the car running. If it normally idles at 1000rpm, you start the car, and take the needle off, then put it on aiming at the 1000 mark. etc
