Umm you made this thread
http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=47255 and got the answer that it isn't OBDII but you're still trying to do an OBII diagnostics on it?
Why do you feel that you need to get a check done? CEL?

OK, I've got 2 other cars that DO have OBD2 and they have a problem or two that I wouldn't mind diagnosing.
So does anyone actually know if these cheapo units work well enough to be bothered with?

That post post-dates this, which went unanswered for a while.

Believe they do as they are simply interpreting OBDII signals generated by OBDII equipped cars. And Slimx should have one for sale if he hasn't already sold it.

I have the kiwi wifi reader, bought it to test out a Mazda to OBDII adaptor cable, it powers up the Kiwi Wifi but doesn't seem to send any signals (unless i'm doing something wrong).
I need to test it on a car that has a factory OBDII port before i'll recommend others buy one. Might have to find a W.A. member with an ODBII port they're willing to test it on.
