New owner - audio problem

Hi all,
Just picked up an '07 NC on Friday and loving it. slight problem though - the Bose audio system occasionally cuts out down to just one or two speakers on the drivers side with very poor crackly sound. This sound continues even after the stereo is switched off.
Its going back to the dealer to look at shortly, but just wandering if this was a common problem?
the car has the Mazda Bluetooth system fitted too and although this works fine, I suspect it has something to do with that - the same speaker(s) are used.
