Clarion CX609A Double Din Install - bracket?

Hi,

Have purchased a Clarion CX609A Double Din unit to replace the stock unit in my 1991 NA6.

Problem I have is that the metal cage/brackets that the stock Panasonic is connected to wont screw to the new unit (screws holes in wrong place).

I need a suitable double Din bracket for the Clarion. I had bought a Metra kit that appeared to be the correct one but turns out it's for single din - I could grind off the offending plastic bits from the brackets they provide but would prefer to get some brackets that will "just work".

Has anyone done a double Din install? Can you provide part numbers/suppliers/suggestions for achieving a clean install?

I have a double Din tombstone with the required insert - the Clarion fits perfectly in the front hole - just need the correct brackets to attach the unit to the internal frame.

Any and all help/advice is appreciated.

Ive got a CX609A in my NB... Its a great stereo for the price.

Sorry I cant help answer your question though, I had mine installed professionally.
