NC Boot release remote

Hi All,

My remote boot release stopped working last week, and being a nice day and all outside, I thought I'd see if I could suss out what's going on.
So rather than jump right in and stuff something up, I thought I should post the question here as to where the heck I might start?

It was simply a case of working when I left home one day, and not working when I arrived at my office about 10 minutes down the road. Is there something in the boot I could have knocked out (I keep some stuff in there, and being an MX, I tend to take corners a little "agressively").

I don't think there's a dedicated fuse for the boot actuator.

Lastly, I've tried both keys/remotes, and neither of them do the trick. Boot opens fine with the key.

Cheers,

From what you say it could be as simple as a wire has come off a solenoid, but Im no expert, but that would be what triggers the boot release. Or it could be cactus :)

Open the boot with the key, there is a little button at about the same level as, but to the right of the boot light.
It's there to disable the boot switch in the cabin.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you blokes...
I just wanted to say thanks for the help. It was the switch mentioned above, a little button that was very easy to see (once I actually looked!).

One press, and presto, all working perfectly.

Thanks for that - my NC stopped working (remote boot). Now working.

Also found the boot light!

On my NB number plate lamps come on with boot opening serving as trunk illumination.

Always figured it just didn't work on the NC. Guess its fully manual ie turn off after use - cos weight saving mitigated against fitting an auto switch?

Yes, you are right.
Scratch what I said, ... faulty memory.
