Ok.
a) I brought the face plate from UK and I got screwed. It doesn't come with the brackets etc.
b) I brought a metra MX5 face it which comes with the face and the brackets from USA. the link is
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Metra-99-7506-20 ... 439d4e0441c) System will connect easy and you will be able to use the factory bose amp and speakers
d) You can connect your MX5 controls by using the right add-on. Once you know which head-unit you want look around on google. It can be done by a input in the back of the unit which is a remote input or can be done by inferred.

If you could point me in the direction of the wiring and head unit that was successful for you, there's a good chance I could install it my self. Otherwise, there is a possibility my wife could be driving down to Melb in 4 weeks. Does your installer do this for a living, or is he just a mate?
Hi Mate,
I'm not sure about the way the wires work. You may want to check other maita forums for this one.
The installer is a pro. He also did a headunit replacement in a RX8 for me which is very rare.

Make sure you get the metra kit that I showed you on ebay. It is perfect for the install.
