So I recently tried to remove my steering wheel to replace it, but it would not budge, so I gave up. Since then my horn button is not working. I took the horn button off, and and took it apart, everything seems to be fine with no corrosion or anything. What could it be?

I had the same problem on my NA8 (horn not going off when I push the button) except, in addition, my horn would just go off randomly when the car was parked... for example, at 6 in the morning when I'm trying to sleep  . Check the connections to the horn and the wires around it (behind the front bar). Upon doing thing I found mine weren't connected properly and the insulation on the wires was falling off.

nup, no fix. I had a similar issue a little while back while trying to perform the same opperation, and it was fixed by a little jiggle of the horn button while in the steering wheel? I'm thinking it might be in the boss???

How is the ground wire connected?

Grab a piece of wire, connect it to the horn button and touch the inside of the boss (exposed metal), then press the horn button. if that works then the current ground connection is loose.

Have you checked the 15A fuse under the hood?

In the NA, there's another fuse under the dash next to the drivers footwell. You have to be a contortionist to get to it.

Mine is all in Japanese, do you know which one it is specifically?

Just took them all out, and they looked fine. But maybe if i replace just the horn one there is a fault that I can't see in it??? (fingers crossed)

just checked mine (na8), which has the same amp fuses in exactly the same positions, but none of them are marked 'horn', however na8 owner's handbook states that the 'stop' fuse also is for the horn. 'stop' fuse is the middle 10 amp fuse, i.e. the 10 amp fuse marked 10A above the 'H' in '(FB200102H)' in your pic.

Are you able to disconnect the horn itself? If so, you could try connecting it directly to a spare car battery to see if it still works. If it does, then you must have a bad connection somewhere along the way. Some checks with a multimeter would resolve it fairly quickly.

okay so i am in the process of taking apart the steering column, but i cant follow the horn wire past the metal disc with the spring thing on it. Any idea on which plug, maybe even cable colour it comes out of?
