2 Qstn's regarding DVD headunit & engine fans

Postby Smithy » Fri Jan 15, 2010 2:34 pm

1) Had a DVD head unit and seperate screen in my NA when purchased, installed now into my corolla... after a few months of daily use the DVD head unit seems to
not be able to load up CD/DVDs. They get taken in and it trus to read them for 3-4 minutes before providing a no disc message...

ideas ? dirty lens ? cleanable ? its just a no name brand head unit by the way....

2) I was wanting to install a switch on centre console to enable on/off of the A/C relayed fan. Without the use of the A/C itself, so as to get more air sucking through. I've found a few suggestions as to simply tapping into the power for it etc but other suggestions said a seperate relay is needed , though if simple extra wire installed to bypass it would still run off the A/C relay. right ? lol.. suggestions !?

thank sfor help in advance !

Can't really help with the DVD player.

On the fan question. I used the following instructions to run both fans in parallel, i.e. both fans are on with or without air conditioning running. I did not add or remove, or anyway modify a relay to do this.
