Hello, not sure if this topic has been covered in the past as I couldn't find any answer.
Just want to know the NB8B factory front fog light. is it possible just to replace the bulb or it has to replace the whole thing including the glass housing? the owners manual does not specify what type of bulbs but just states the wattage is 55.
Anyone replaced the front fog light before? thanks.

I hate to say Mazda's wrong but I'm extremely certain that the front fog lights are H1 bulb.
NB8B low beam is HB4 (9006) & high beam is HB3 (9005).

NB8B front fog light question
I replaced my fog light bulb on the NB8B the other day its H1 12V 55W.
BTW you dont need to replace the glass or anything. You take the front wheel off, unscrew the pop out screw thngs, unscrew 3 bolt/screws and peel the plastic back and you will have access to the back of the fog light.
Once upon a time there was a re-call to fix the fog light, a wire was inserted to hold the fog light in place so it wouldnt melt catch fire etc. The wire has orientation so remember to put it back.
A 15 min job otherwise you fail...

fog light is H1.......if too lazy to take the wheel off, can turn the wheel to one side, the gap big enough to access.

NB8B front fog light question
the owners manual for NB does not specify bulb type just wattage except for headlamp bulbs. The H1 and H3 are very different bulbs. The Hi has a P14.5s base and the H3 is a PK22s and it is shorter overall 30.5 m compared to the H1 at around 39mm. The H3 also has a wire attached to it commonly known as a pig tail. Careful removal of the bulb (avoiding envelope) and inspection of the base will reveal the bulb type and wattage ( standard on both is 55W). Interesting to some is that the term H1 came about because it was the first halogen bulb developed. You cannot I think pick the bulb by looking thru the lens as the bulb shield obscures it. Best buy a Philips or Osram bulb if you have a choice. Leave Indian and Chinese bulbs on the shelf.

NB8B front fog light question
ohhh it had a tail!!
I remember now I went to mazda dealer once to get the fog light bulb (I didnt know what it was at that time)
They gave me the wrong bulb but only realized when I took the wheel off the car etc!
Mazda dealer spare parts closed over weekends, got the correct H1 bulb from repco, returned the old bulb to the dealer he looked puzzled and I had to show him the old blown bulb.
