As the topic suggests, i have an intermittent central locking fault which means my passenger wont always lock when the drivers side door does. This is on and off as sometimes is works for sometimes then stops, sometimes it works every second lock. Someone pleeease help me as iam going insane, i have pulled the trim off and tried fiddeling with the connections and nothing seems to work.

Plus i am trying to buy a keyless entry kit however i cant install one untill i fix this problem.

Maybe one of the motors has worn out?

Do you mean actuator? I doubt it, well i hope not. But when it does work it works fine so im thinking its a connection.

Take your right door trim off and check the tension of the rod which runs to your door handle / lock. It may be too tight or too loose which will affect the slave switch.
If this does not make sense, just loosen of the door handle rod then test the locking and unlocking operation via your key in the door - I had to make adjustments when my door locks played up.

Mine had this problem and it's back again.

There's a little electronic magnet in the passenger side actuator, the part it needs to attract is too far away (or the magnet is loosing it's strength).

Last time I adjusted it so the magnet wasn't so far away from the part it needed to attract, the problem is back and i'll have to pull things apart again.

All parts are well lubed and can move freely.

Does it make the normal clicking noise, but it just doesnt lock/unlock?
If so, then as per MX5Chic's suggestion, it may be the clamps that connects the central-locking actuator rods to the locking mechanism rods has come loose. Easy fix if it is.

Well basically, when i lock the drivers door, it makes a noise on that side but doesn lock the other. Get this, sometimes i unlock the door, get in and when i go to unlock the other door manually it unlocks by itself. Like its delayed.

If there's a delayed action, then it's probably the master actuator. Otherwise, it's probably the control unit or slave unit in the passenger door.

Either rod adjustments or actuator replacements are necessary.
