Hey, the damned window is stuck up. Well, it's acting like its stuck up, anyway. It ignores me and my requests to lower itself, so it thinks it's too good for me: therefore, it must be stuck up.
I reckon the motor mite be cactus. Cables and sh*t look okay. Goes click when I push the console button and nothing. I just get the ol' "I'm just gonna ignore you" treatment. Totally stuck up.
Ne1 know what mazda charge for these puppies off hand? I could ring I suppose, but they ignore me too. They're stuck up as well. Got a lady interested in the car and I wanted to tell her what she mite be in for.
I can't get it to work. I even poured some beer on it, but nothing happened Any clues? Anybody got one? Anybody had this sort of thing happen? Did beer work for you? ANYBODY?

Various people on this forum have had success with cleaning the contacts in the window swtich. Have you tried that?

Hey, not a bad idea. I haven't tried that. Worst case scenario was the motor I guess. It had been whining a bit for quite a while. Guess its my fault that it died when I might have been able to save it by doing some maintenance.

Juffa is most likely correct. The Capri of the 90's had a locally made motor that lifted the headlamps and there was a lot of work ( understatement) into getting the quality up to std demanded. Most of the time the contact fingers in the motor were the culprits when motors died. I reckon the window regulators will be a similiar design- likelihood is that the motor can be taken apart so check that the fingers are making contact. Careful in activating motors - if fingers are in the wrong spot- ie activation arm But check posts on subject as I am making a number of assumptions.

as juffa said, it's most likely just the switches in your centre console.
