AC Wiring

Postby SileNceR » Thu Jun 19, 2008 1:52 pm

Hi all

recently my A/C compressor broke (See thread in engine section) which shorted the trigger wiring.

I assume a fuse of some sort has blown as a test light is never lit on the connector when car is on (engine running) and a/c button is active.

The fuse under the dash only seems to effect the light on the a/c button that I can see (and the light/fuse are ok)

I can't see a fuse in the engine bay that affects this but figure that since the second thermofan and the compressor usually turn on together, there might be a fuse for this - if so what will it be referred to.

It could also be a relay but I have no idea how to work out which one is which (there are a couple on the guard side of the engine bay fusebox?)

If anyone knows exactly how/where wiring for an NB8B a/c runs and what fuses/fusible links/relays are relevant please let me know so I don't have to dismantle half the car to get it to operate again.

Thanks,

Clinton
