drivers side door actuator

Postby silvermiata » Mon Jun 02, 2008 10:16 am

i have put an alarm system in my car recently, and i have put a jaycar actuator on the drivers side door, however, because of the extra thickness of the actuator, i can hardly put the door skin back on... and i can hear actuator is rubbing against the door skin...

has anyone experienced this? is there any trick? i am thinking about taking it apart again and shaving the actuator from both side so it would be skinnier?

You need to relocate the actuator to another spot. The ones I have fitted to NA's didn't rub on anything and the door trim fitted back on with no issues.
