One rear demister line not working

As the subject says, one of my lines on my rear demister doesn't work. This is because there's something physically cutting off the strip, so there's a physical gap in the line.
Anyone know if the line can be 'patched' and if so, with what material? Something tells me a dab of solder won't work...

Considering I'm a computer engineer, I realised solder wouldn't stick because there wouldn't be anything to bond to

So what's this stuff you bought from super cheap? Got a name for it, or should I just show up one day and ask for \"stuff that makes my rear demister work by closiing the gap that's causing the demister to not pass current\"?

Marcusus Haynes Practical Electrical Systems ISBN 1 84425 267 01 published 2005 shows how to do it and makes ref to a Loctite repair kit. I have also seen similiar in Haynes Miata ( 1998). Try your local library network and do an online catalogue search. Libraries are a fabulous resource and it cost us nothing. Good luck - I am sure it is do able.

Marcusus refer to Haynes Practical Electrical Systems ISBN 1 84425 267 1 pub 2005 by Martynn Randall - this has a pictorial descript of defroster repair and uses a Loctiite system. I have also seen similiar in Haynes Miata rep man 1998. Try your local library network - go on line and check their catalogue. Great resource

Ahh good. Some useful tips finally

I'll check them out on a weekend soon (hopefully).
All that's left is find out where the damned wiring is shorting out (or rather open circuiting) as it seems to do randomly after the top's been lowered/raised. Of course that'll require a lot of carpet pulling and even then it probably won't be the be all and end all of it, but anyway...

Not enough to do the lot, there's only about 12grams of the stuff. I saw it in stooper cherp when getting some resin for a radiator tank (not the mx).
Only about $15 from memory
