I saw something on Miata Net about this sort of thing. IIRC, try disconnecting the car battery (negative lead) for a minute or so, reconnect and see if the CD and/or Ipod works again.

No idea but if you know your security code try disconecting the IPOD adapter and then disconect that car battery. That will reset the unit. If you are lucky it's just got itself in a bit of a knot.

The workshop manual has a sequence of button presses to get into the diagnostic mode. But I dont have the manual with me.

richardD, i've had bad experiences with NB8B oem stereos. in fact, i've been through TWO of them. remove it from your centre console and burn it now.. BURN IT SON!!!
