I've retro-fitted them into my NB8B and they work quite well. It didn't even need adjustments. (Compared the alignment with one headlight on the HID, and the other on the original Halogens). The horizontal plane was level.
They work quite well on projector style headlight units (HB4). But not so much on reflector (parabolic) style headlights that houses both hi & lo beam (H4).
On the H4 - like what I installed on my Pajero - the alignment is compromised. You either align it for lo beam or for hi beam. It will not be perfect for both. In my case I aligned the Pajero lights for lo beam (so as to not blind on coming traffic), but unfortunately, that makes my hi beam pointed in less than ideal alignment (a tad too low).
