Hey guys,

I have been on the look out, for a Nakamichi CD500 headunit for my MX5. I cant for the life of me find one that is for sale. I think Nakamichi stopped making them, but i heard that they are quite easy to get your hands on new.

I am a bit of an avid audiophile, and not really interetsed in flashing lights, and pretty colours. I love the Nakamichi's as they look stock, and provide amazing sound.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, as how to get my hands on a CD500 it would be very appreciated.

Cheers
Ryan

One has turned up on fleabayhttp://cgi.ebay.com.au/NAKAMICHI-CD-500-RECEIVER-CD-MP3-24BIT-NEW-IN-BOX_W0QQitemZ140145447398QQihZ004QQcategoryZ85808QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Much cheaper than local prices but no post purchase support per se.
I have been very happy with my Nak..looks stock, illumination a close match and sounds great. One issue is that with MP3's it can take up to 10-20 seconds to start a track, not always mind you but often enough to notice. However if you after SQ you may not use MP3's anyway :) Oh and it only reads MP3 tags not aac or wav etc.
