Replacement side indicators

Hi all
Just received clear indicators and reflectors....
Two quick questions...
1. Reflectors came with globe holders and globes...old ones don't have bulbs....were there some 5's that had these as indicators as well?
2. To replace round indicators, and before I start pulling everything apart, I assume that access is from inside front guard. I noticed wheel well has plastic \"insert\". Does this need to be removed so that access to the inner guard is there, or do you access from elsewhere?
Any comments appreciated.
Cheers !!
PS car is NB8B

The rear reflectors on my import are red and are connected to the taillights. Don't reckon it looks too bad, I suppose it makes the car a bit easier to see in some circumstances.
My NA side indicators just pop off from the outside, There is a place where you can fit a small flat blade driver in and twist. Just be carefull and use a rag to protect the paint.

Yes the aussie model only had reflectors (and not lights)
I think the Garage Section of
www.miata.net has a \"how to\" to wire those up.
The round indicators are removed from the outside. Just use something flat like a screw driver to push the locking tab towards the center and then pop the light out (when you look at your new ones you'll understand what I mean)
Just be careful not to scratch your paint or crack the plastic tab. Should only take a few seconds for each side to swap them over.

My indicators just slid forward towards the front of the car, and popped out! No screwdriver necessary here

Robbie,
I just used the black blanks that came with the reflectors and discarded the globes. Uncle Arthur has wired his up with red and silver/ blue and it looks amazing. I guess it's your choice how you go.

I wouldn't have thought so. They would just need to be connected to the front parkers and the rear tail light leads, so they come on with the lights.

To all those who replied, my sincere thanks...
Reflectors and indicators now replaced, and MUCH easier than I suspected, thanks to your useful comments. I will decide whether or not to wire the reflectors later....
Thanks all

You may want to check the lighting laws in your state before choosing what colour lights you use.
In NSW I'm pretty sure the sidelights need to be orange though you may get away with red ones in the rear ones. The general rule is white for the forward facing lights, yellow on the sides and red for the rear facing lights with orange as the indicators front and back. Rear number plate lights should be white. Reverse lights can be white or orange I think.

Reverse lights must be white unless car was not originally fitted with reverse lights
