MS'ers... I am looking to get going with one myself.

I am going to put an NB8B motor with VVT in the NA8, does that mean I should get a '94-'95 MSPNP (car is Aus '93 1.8 ), VVT Tuner, IAT sensor, Wideband and gogogo? Am I missing anything?

MS3 + MS3X gives you the latest and greatest with built in VVT control. Less to build, more inputs & outputs than you can poke a stick at.

AFAIK the only advantages of buying MS2 are cost and ability to hack the firmware (MS3 is not open source).

does the ms2v3 tune and run off the wideband or do I need the narrowband too?

WB only is fine, it also autotunes but you still have to tune spark manually and watch the AFRs to make sure it never goes lean.

If you buy an innovate LC1 (which has two signal outputs) you can have 1 of them set to wideband for the standalone ms2/ms3 ecu or gauge, and the other set to narrowband (emulated) so that you can run the stock computer again without having to swap out the wideband o2 sensor and controller.

Correct. The LC2 replaces the LC1 and is essentially the same, but some places are still providing the LC1 at good prices, but yeah if you can't get the LC1 then the LC2 is now the way to go.

Hey my MS updated, so I re-entered my full version code...

Where the hell is idle speed target map now?

And startup idle duty cycle?

Not much fun tuning idle with a screwdriver..? Was totally fine this morning, update.. now I cannot find idle map?

Basemap was simply set to warmup only. So the target curve wasn't bold, it was greyed out (the option box) All good now.

Hey Guys,

Been running my turbo mx5 on MS3 for awhile now seems pretty solid but want to get some more power out of it. Anyone recommend some dyno places in Sydney willing to touch a MS3?

Nick.
