it is not hard to quote ADR's for aftermarket lights- listed by reputable co's. Rugged light does not mean much either- all headlamp lenses are PC selected for impact resistance. Lighting is about selection of the right product one designed for a purpose- this one seems to be looking for a purpose.

I've given the purpose. Can you give the "easy to quote adr" for my purpose.

I'm scratching my head as well, Will they actually be noticeable with high beam on?

the purpose ie the engineering lighting purpose has not been stated. The classification of lamp defines the ADR and distributors such as Narva and Hella will state if a particular product has ADR compliance and the ADR number. On line info or paper catalogs list them and there are many products.

To the question of will you see them over the high beams, did you watch the video yet?

I am yet to find any concrete legislative information that mentions that optional Hi-Beam driving lights/spotty's/fog's have to be ADR. Any alterations or additions to your low beam headlights have to have ADR approved such as HID kits retro fitted to your factory headlamp unless the vehicle has self-levelling suspension and washers for the headlights. But no mention of additional Hi-beam lights.

Some very breif info in regards to additional driving Hi-beam lights:
Headlights should be in pairs where practicable however a vehicle may be fitted""with a spot light".
Must be mounted symetrically
Additional high beam headlights must extinguish automatically when low beam is selected
Must not interfere with driver visibility (the way they are mounted)
Should be mounted no higher than 1.5m from the ground.

MrMorlock has outlined some important information, not sure if its applicable to this setup but I need you guys to make an educated decision as to wether you would like to proceed with this or not. Im not planning to make much on this, these will be warranted for 12 months against any manufacturer faults (if any) hence the small margin I will add.

I'd like to think it's time to start putting names down as an indication of commitment.

I'm still interested in finding out how much they're being offered for.

Prices. Intrigued minds are still intrigued.

I'd be in for four, more than likely. I've got a bicycle that could do with some decent night lights as well.

Ok pricing will be as follows:

0-10 pcs $79ea Shipped.

10+ $69ea shipped Australia wide.

Thats the best I can do, they're not a cheapie light. I can get a cheaper light with the same light output that uses cheaper circuitry, different housing/lens for about $10-$15 dollars cheaper.

I have a set very similar to these, LED's are the way of the future
Mine are 20watt 1700Lumen, 40watt in pair @ 3700Lumen & I mainly use them as high beam pot hole / roo hunters. as that i do a fair amount of night driving.

As far as the Auxiliary lighting on the five..... it's not for everyone & yet there are complications on Rules & Regs...... but since i have done the mod i have enjoyed the extra light that it has given me :)

Nice setup RedMX, looks like you get alot more depth with the 20watt'ers.

Brilliant spread on the 20w lights & they have a glass projector lens. I have a 10watt setup that i could have adapted from my bike "Vision X" Spot beam, they are very similar to these ones you have here. only down side is that i was looking for more spread & output.
