With an BT unit, you need to get into the habit of pressing the off button the same time you press your Garage Door opener. If you don't have an auto garage door, then find something else to prompt you.
Incompatibilities occur when you have say a Version 2.0 BT device and a 2.1 Version phone. Always check what version your phone is running from GSMARENA.COM and then find a BT unit to match it and you will be fine.
Bluant have a great system of upgrading firmware on older units if you get in touch with them.

Some like Bluant do, with a firmware revision. Some generic brands have no suport here in AUS and therefore you are stuffed.
Bluant, not the cheapest, but at least they can help when there is an issue.
