Aftermarket radiator fan install

Postby dzammit85 » Mon Apr 10, 2017 3:57 pm

Hi, I bought some aftermarket fans for my nb 01, though I'm not too sure on how to wire one of the fans.
So I've got 2 stock ones now, one is metal and one is plastic the metal one has a wire and the plug hanging of it so I can just cut the wire and solder it onto the new fan, though the plastic one has the plug attached to the fan motor, so how do I wire this one up, can the plug just be pulled off without damaging it

Your best bet is to find a wreck and cannibalise the plug + some of its wire that connects to the fan's socket because that'll be your safest/strongest method of connecting to it.

You could make a DIY connection to the fan's socket but it'll be dodgy and work loose.

Ok thanks for your help, I may just try and pull apart my one, it won't be used again anyway
