Hi, I bought a oil filter relocation kit, and I'm trying to find spots to install it, the only spot I have been able to see that has enough room is where the alarm siren is, I have had the car for about 4 months and never once heard the siren so I'm thinking of just disconnecting it
Can I just chop the wires and then tape them up, or will that cause problems with the immobiliser, also it's an nb8b
Thanks
alarm siren removal

Re: alarm siren removal
You can't just cut the wires to the siren! That could cause issues with immobilising the engine and with the door locks. Even other stuff depending on the alarm fitted.
If it's an aftermarket alarm, you could remove the whole alarm system. If you don't know how to do this, take it to a professional or you could cause problems.
Alternative is to just move the siren if there's enough free cable.
