Hi, I just connected my adaptronic yesterday, on my mx5 nb8b it is the plug and play model, the engine starts, it idles ok around 1100, though if I push the accelerater down it rev up to 1500 and then drops off, it will continue doing that till I let off the accelerater, so far I've changed the tps and the timing, though with the tps if I pull up the live gauges I don't see any movement, the timing I locked at 10 degrees and then changed the offset to +5 then unclicked the lock button, not sure what to do as I can't drive the car to test anything else, any help would be great
Thanks
Also my car is standard at the moment only spark plugs and leads have been switched to performance ones

Re: Adaptronic rev problems
Can you try explaining it again? Or maybe a video?

Re: Adaptronic rev problems
I'll try get a video later, though pretty much the problem is that once I accelerate it will rev up to 1500 then the revs drops down and then it revs back up to 1500, it continues doing this until I take my foot of the accelerater

Re: Adaptronic rev problems
The best thing to do would be to post a log of it happening, both in this thread and on the adaptronic forum.
Are you just using the standard nb8b basemap for a standalone configuration?

Re: Adaptronic rev problems
Yeah I'm just using the standard nb8b base map, but I think it is the tps
The way I set up the tps was, turn the car onto the Reds, kept my foot off the accelerater and hit learn 0%, then pushed all the way down on the accelerater and hit learn 100%
When I go into the live gauges it doesn't show any tps signal at all
Did I set it up the right way

You need to get it tuned.

Re: Adaptronic rev problems
That's getting done on Tuesday its booked in, i just want more of on an understanding of the problem so that if anything ever happens again then I won't have to get it tuned every time

Re: Adaptronic rev problems
Just to update this incase anyone else has this problem
I've been speaking to adaptronic support and we have worked out it is a TPS problem, the way that I calibrated the TPS into the wari software was also correct, I ended up unplugging the adaptronic till it gets tuned (which has now changed to a couple weeks away)
So I will plug it back in tomorrow and see if I can get it to work, as I don't have this problem with the standard ecu only on the adaptronic, I'll try it on a different pc also, it could possibly be a computer problem
