Postby mx589 » Fri May 15, 2015 11:15 am

Hey guys boot release has never worked in my nb8b.
Now behind the carpet in the boot were the latch is there is this white plug.

Can someone else with a nb 2001 onwards tell me if there is a relay plugged into their white plug at this spot in the boot?
Any help will be appreciated
have googled for info but US forums are no good as theirs is wired differently than ours.

PC: believe you mean: Imasen LA12

MX589: plug for rear window demister relay is also located there, which variously uses the Imasen LA10 or Imasen LA12 relay.

So does that relay do rear demister or boot release ?
I put multimeter on it and got 12v on one of the wires I think it was and when I pressed boot release on remote 2 of the wires spiked up to around 2.5v

Stuffed if I know we're il get that relay from. Looks difrent than any other relay I've seen on the car.

Any of you guys got a picture of it ?

Thanks for the info

Do you have more than one plug with or without a relay in it in the boot relaease area? If not, then perhaps it does both. Try Japanese car wreckers or ebay.

No sorry.

This post is for the NC but seems a similar set-up
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
