Manga there are companies making 7" round "lights" with a correctly mounted projector in them. By correct I mean designed not cut and shut.

These are available in lhd and r&d variants so probably have the non semetric cut offs.

Down side being they are still technically illegal without washers and level adjustment.

Seems LEDs are the same as hids now. When I was checking the minor modifications list on the QLD transport website yesterday it specifically branded HID and LED headlights in the same group and said you can not upgrade them with out the levellers etc etc.
