Rear Demister

Postby Gladiator » Sat Mar 23, 2013 4:54 pm

Can anyone tell me where the rear demister plugs into? My dash (NA) has the blank switches to the right of the steering column (wires but no switches). One of them must be for the demister. My new soft top has a demister, and being an electrical dunce to put it nicely, where is the wire?

What is this one?

The only answer I can give you is you're correct, the switch is one of the blanks on the right. If you can't figure it out, don't stress cause I can't remember ever using my demister.

Have a quick look at the following - they should clarify your situation, but essentially wiring presence varied depending on year & market:

While this is for the hardtop it also covers demisters: http://www.miata.net/garage/hardtop/

Here's my post in retro-fitting a demister on my NA8 hardtop. Apart from the switch, you'll also need a relay and a fuse.
