For a long while, I've been having this issue where indicating right causes the ticking sound to be at 2x the frequency, but no light comes on. Left indicating is perfectly normal.
Today I diagnosed it, and found that even with hazard lights, the right bulbs front and back don't light up. Swapping the bulbs left to right at the front and back still don't light it up. So that eliminates the bulbs as the cause.
I pulled out the flasher unit like what the other threads and miata garage recommended. Here's a picture of the back-side. Could the upper right corner have a faulty solder? There's a black spot on the board and on the 2 nearest solder drops.
EDIT: Anyway I can get it resized?

Thats not tiny that normal person sized.
Its the robot sized ones on your phones mother board that are tiny!
Any electronics shop that fixes appliances can do it.

just replace it - a repair is not going to be feasible. Or take it to an auto elec and get them to check and replace as required. Your car is not safe without a turn signal function.

Not so,if its just solder cracks its an easy fix.mine took about 3 mins to fix including waiting for the soldering iron to heat up.only rudimentary soldering skills are needed.

Depends on how simple/complex the NA flasher relay is.
When the relay on my NB started sticking I just replaced it, I think the replacement was only $5 or so (maybe $10?)

Hi, If the joint is black it's been hot, and for a reason, use it as sample in the purchase of a replacement and throw the offending item over your shoulder. F&$K, How much did you earn in your last hours work and how much time has this investigation cost?
