Stock Radio/CD Player NA6 Problem

Postby Side_wayz » Thu May 31, 2012 8:38 pm

On my 1989 mx5 it has a old school tape cassete radio but it has an option of playing cds. Theres no gap when i push the button to get the face of the player downwards all i see is the tape recorder insert.

Iv been searching the net and cant find any info on where the cd stacker is in the mx5 iv tried the boot of the car but still nothing. Anyone know about this ? thanks

Do also remember that there were differences between the units offered in Australia and the USA.

Regardless, the NA8 had an optional CD player, it was not a part of the unit, it was a separate CD drive that sat where the pocket is underneath the radio.

Also worth noting, not many manufacturers make OEM units with removable faces.
