I am not sure that any of us can close a topic.Non oem hid systems are not legal and no amount of justification can change that. Faulty lighting can adversely affect other drivers and that is the reason for not allowing open slather- it is not well policed but that applies to most road issues except where cameras are involved. In a first world country having a car that complies with legislation and including being roadworthy strikes me as reasonable.

I was just re-ordering oils and noticed that our mate Harold is selling genuine Philips Xtreme Vision bulbs now. His prices work out a little cheaper than getting them shipped direct from UK.
