Odometer not visible

Postby Divo » Sat Jul 30, 2011 6:27 pm

Hi all,

Any ideas as to why the odometer/tripmeter is not working ? It's a 2002 NB. I'm building a Clubman and using the factory loom and ECU. All the warning lights light up when powered up in the cluster, but not the odometer or the night lighting. Is there a separate fuse or earth for it? I haven't got the rear loom but the front lights connectors are all still in the front loom. Headlights, indicators and park lights all operate.

I'm stumped ?

Mark

NA6 & NA8 at least has two fuse boxes - large one in engine bay on drivers side & small one under dash on drivers side. From memory under dash one contains fuse for instrument lights. Think this carried over to NB8.

Light problem solved - bridged the dimmer switch connector and now have instrument lights.

Still can't get the odometer to read though.

Had the cluster bench tested and everything works out of the car including the odometer. I guess that means a wiring issue - bad earth / or no power to the odometer ? Am I correct in this assumption?

cheers

Mark
