Hi Guys
As you may or may not know, I've made a flip key for the NB, but it requires sacrificing a spare key.
Upon searching, I couldn't find anything about the types of transponders that the keys actually use.
Well, I think I have. This will mean that I can source reeeeally cheap transponders keys!
PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, or if there is anything to add to this.
98-2001 uses the ID33
The 2002-2004/5 uses the Ford Pats System, the ID8C chip
For the record, the Mazda 3 uses the Ford Pats system too, but uses the 4D chip.
I don't know about older models, but I could probably find out (if they even use them).
Does anyone have anything information contrary to this?
Cheers
Transponder Chip

This is my MX5. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My MX5, without me, is useless. Without my MX5, I am useless.
