Has anyone had any experience with Mazda Service recoding/reseting an Airbag SAS module?
What I'm wondering is do they have the ability and willingness to recode/reset an SAS module while it's in the car? Or do they insist on the whole process of pulling the dash out and fitting a new module? Obviously there's much more money in it for them if they insist on the latter, but I'm wondering has anyone managed to get a module reset without having to go the expensive and time consuming route.
I know it's possible to reset a module in an MX5 because there are 3rd party company's who can do it here in Australia. My 2001 NB needs to be done by Mazda because I need to show the paperwork from Mazda to the RTA for registration purposes. They won't accept anything less. Really hoping to avoid the expensive route....
Anyone had any experience with Mazda Service & Airbag coding
