Oh well, just put it back in one clip less.
What is the purpose of that van?

ugly matte ones?
as in a matte black instrument hood? i'm keen as hell! i hate the reflection of the hood onto the inside of the windscreen and was considering spraying the hood black anyway.
where can these hoods be found and how much?
your local mazda dealer, mx5 mania etc etc ... they don't make them in the shiny black finish anymore, any oem replacement hood is matt black these days. they're about $90 iirc.

Well make sure you give the back road to altona off kororoit creek road a look coz i can barely get over it past 5 k's in my 5. cmon you should understand!!
Also give Williamstown a look first for some, well most of their roads
Its funny coz the main roads are worse than the resedential.

Bringing up an old topic.
I was wondering if anyone has changed the heater/centre console lights in a NA or if anyone knows what bulbs are needed.
And also would someone be able to confirm that with the dash lights I need 4 T10 bulbs and 1 T5 bulb.
Thanks.

Just on the topic, those cluster lights that change colour on the bottom of the last page are crap! I now own that car
and they havent worked for quite a while. I took apart the cluster and turns out the original face dials were removed when the colour changing faces were put on. I also checked all the connections/fuses/etc and they are all fine. I do not reccommend anyone get these - they are just a bitch to deal with. Now I am reduced to clamping a small battery powered torch to my steering wheel at night... lol

Heater controls are a bitch as you can't scrape off the green tinted stuff without scraping off the front too. All you end up doing is destroying it. I started making up some templates to make a front from scratch ages ago but never got around to finishing it. There's a topic somewhere on cr.net about making your own gauges, I was planning on using the same methods to make these.

Just an add on, I recently changed the dash lights on my 89 NA, pretty straightforward, but a couple of tips I can offer would be...When removing the instrument cluster in these models instead of squeezing the tab on the speedo cable you need to use a fine screwdriver to lift the tab (flat blade) to gently release the cable from the cluster, it will let go and you can then work on your project on the table or bench. As for figuring which bulbs to replace I simply took one out and shone a small torch in to see what would happen, too easy. I only used four large led bulbs T10, no small ones T5, purchased mine on ebay for $20.00, now have a red NA with red dashlights!
