Immob and Alarm

I had a mongoose system fitted (M80?) with black wiring, boot release, motion (microwave) sensor, slient arm / disarm feature, built in turbo timer, boot release etc etc and it cost ~$500 fitted

The first week or 2 it drove me crazy...... everytime my work colleagues parked next to me in the basement it 'detected them' and beeped and if they hung around too long it would alarm

Advice - read the manual fully and straight away

I eventually got around to reading it and discovered by pressing button combinations (button 1 then 2) I could arm but deactivate the microwave sensor - now I have best of both worlds..... keeps people away in public and doesn't offend co-workers!!

get the microwave sensor adjusted down

I too have microwave sensor its kind of a fiddle to adjust it correctly but once you got it right it shouldn't go off when people park next to yours

the sensitivity is too high for the internal

Took me the better part of a week to get the adjustment on my microwave sensor set just right. It was originally way to sensitive, where if you walked somewhere vaguely near it, it would set the alarm off. I've now got ti to the stage where walking right up to it wont do anything, but putting your hand in while the roof is down will set it off.

Sorry I forgot to mention I did adjust the sensitivty too and you are right they required a week 'tweaking'

Now if you stand a few inches away it says hello but that's it

yeh mine was adjusted just right then a few months later down the track

It picked up every big van or truck that access the driveway infront of where I park her at work
