So.... I was driving a fair distance alongside the new Maserati Gran Turismo and, in typical Italiano fashion of form over function, I was quite enjoying the burbling and popping sounds it was making on up and down-shifts. Has any Megasquirters played with their over-run settings to make theirs sound "racy" (for lack of a better term)?
I have my fuel cut set to 23kPa from memory, it's probably going to be a bit different for you since I have the cams. That seems to eliminate most of the popping. If you want to make it pop you can just turn off overun fuel cut and it should just scale the map out.
you know what's strange Tim.... (I think I told you this) but with over-run fuel cut ON, it causes pops. I mentioned this to Matt at DIY and he said on occassion, an over-lean scenario can cause similar poppings as an over-rich scenario.
Often when there is popping on overun and it has overun fuel cut on, it can mean there is an exhaust leak somewhere, it can be extremely small like an incomplete weld around an extractor merge and it can still cause the popping.
