Not for me, but a member of the Miatatrubo forum is interested.

So does anyone have any experience with one of these?

Ring David at MX5 Mania.

Over the last 12 odd months he has done a lot of development with them specifically for the MX5. They now have plug and play with patch harness ready to fit. Base map is excellent and they are very easy to use/tune.

He also spent a lot of time on the NB8B set up and has got this working very nicely - not an easy thing to do with the immobiliser, alternator and other issues to overcome.

He now runs his race car using the adaptronic.

The other week when I was in mania, Dave was showing me what he can do with the Adaptonic in regards to power etc. One one customers SE, they got a "Stage 1 and 2 kit" (intake, exhaust, IC, bigger injectors, ECU). Power was just shy of 170rwkw, with a (near) perfect cold start, and a very power curve. Oh, and that was only on the 'mild' tune (since the engine cant handle much more than that haha)
Current: Red 04 SE (Slightly modified) - 133rwkw@7psi - Winner of the Mania Dyno Day 2008
Previous: Titanium 04 SE (Standard)
White 94 NA (Severely Modified) - 180rwkw - Runner up at the Mania Dyno Day 2007

Any NB owners with a Adaptronic ECU??

sorry for taking so long

got a jackson racing supercharger (45 not 62) was running the power card with standard injectors..changed to adaptronic with 380 cc injectors....dyno apparently 130 rwkw 380 nm torque... this was a substantial ( apx 15kw)improvement.

on a very cold morning i have had some starting issues...twice i have run out of battery and had to jump start it....not happy!!!.. generally slower to start than before but first time reliable...idles evenly!....also runs reallly rich ....when pushed too hard mixy leaves the traffic very literallly in a cloud of dust-smoke.

dave at mania has answers for the problems described and is happy to change the program till it's just right. i just havent had time to get there and the issues are not too bad as to be urgent or annoying.

adaptronic and dave @ mania seem worth recommending

enjoy
