Reverse parking sensors – false alarms

AZNTieN, I assume you install generic sensors. If so, they wouldn’t come with a template for a specific vehicle so how do you determine the optimum placement on the rear bumpers?

Cars have different bumper heights and I am thinking that if the distance to the road is too close, they will be over-sensitive.

there is a certain height the sensors have to be
and usually a top of the sensor but the updated ones don't seem to have them

we install them evenly on the bumper if they have a tow bar the centre would have a bigger spacing because the tow ball would set off the sensor

usually we would fit 2 sensor in that case but some people still want 4

anyway its good to know yours is fixed up

just make sure you don't rely on sensors
