Is there a ISO connector adapter to convert the factory loom plug to an Alpine style plug to allow a straight swapover when changing head units? or do you have to do the cut 'n' solder?

Aaaagh, help.

How do I remove the eyeball vents in the top of the centre console? (for the purpose of changing head units).

I'm sure I saw something on this site about inserting a screwdriver and ttwisting or something but I'll be buggered if I can find it now.

Cheers,
Julian.

UPDATE: It's OK, I got it :D

My question is, once you have removed the factory double DIN unit, how do you mount the aftermarket unit if there is no bracket/mount to secure to the metal chassis that surrounds the opening?
