Has anyone installed one of these in their car?
I noticed that they have speakers included, and wouldn't mind upgrading the audio quality in the cabin.

The answer to the question of Life, the Universe and Everything is not 42..... it is MX5.

A while back, Mania had one in and I chanced upon it before it got sold. Had a bit of a listen, and in all honesty, I didn't feel it would add anything to the quality of the audio in the 5. It would definitely add more quantitiy of volume ie you could hear it all better, but I don't think it would make the sound any cleaner/crisper. You'd just be able to hear it better with the roof off.
I personally decided against it because the quality wasn't up to my standards. After all, these are probably similar in size to the old NA headrest speakers, but with much less depth which would imply even less bass than those little things. However it's a very easy upgrade, and will work out well if this is the type of audio upgrade you're after.

Not quite that high up. The windblockers are basically the same size and shape of previous NB models, but instead of the entire windblocker flap being foldable, only the bit between the seats folds. The remaining outer sections house the speakers and stay upright. The speakers face into the back of the seat.

I bought one of these SE windblockers...
Its no huge upgrade but it really does finish off the audio well i believe.
It gives it a bit more of a \"full\" sound.
Once theyre installed its kinda hard to tell that theyre there, but if you fade only to the front, you can definately tell the difference...
I recommend them to anybodys whos girlfriend is happy enough with the height of the standard windblocker... unlike mine, who always wants the top up cause it annoys her having it down, and therefore I will be fabricating my own higher perspex windblocker with some lill speakers in it...
...and theeeeeerefore, who wants to buy my SE windblocker off me???

This is a pre-sale opportunity... as soon as Ive properly designed the new one I'll be officially posting it in the Sale section. Please dont tell me to move this

Reckon it'll fit an NA8 (with the brace across the back) with only a little modding?

Yeah, I don't give mine an option. I give her a hat.

Hey redwards, as soon as its made I'll post photos.
It will definately fit an NA since I know alot of NA guys put on the standard windblocker and the SE one is the measurements...
And yes its black coloured.
Sorry guys I didnt mean to hijack this thread, if anyone is interested please PM me!
