Installing Headunit

Postby TieNN89 » Sat Dec 22, 2007 4:00 pm

Hi there,
Could someone tell me which plug is for the MX5 to hook an aftermarket headunit to the stock wiring

Aerpro.com doesn't seem to have MX5 listed but I'm sure theres a plug on there somewhere that suits the MX5 as I had a Mazda 121 and the plug was the same for a Ford Falcon

I really want the headunit in tonight but need to get the adaptor before the stores close up

Thanks,
Tien

now does anyone know how to remove the stock headunit?

I've taken out the centre console, and the little black frame around the headunit, fan controls...

theres two little caps on either side of my headunit and behind that is a few holes

Looks good, how well does it work?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Whoa 879 bucks... but it does look good.

Im in the market for a new CD player but probably not that expensive.

How difficult was it to wire it all up?

Did you have to get a wireing harness like this one?

i actualy got it for 749

it wasn't hard at all i got the wiring harness simliar to the one thats in the link except mine i got was by aerpro you can get it at autobarn supercheap ...

But mx5 won't be listed tho its the same one was the 323

I got that wiring and just cut the iso end off and soldered it to the one that came with the headunit instead of buying another iso to jvc cable
saved me $20

they didn't have the iso to jvc instock so i just though of soldering it up

the colours should be the same and the wires actually say what they are on it
