Phillip Island - Detour

Postby Ross » Mon Sep 26, 2016 11:20 am

I had to go to phillip Island on the weekend, so took a detour on the way.
Turn off the Hwy at McDonalds Track, Lang Lang, out to Nyora, Poowong, turn off to Loch, then to Krowera, then through to Dalyston.
Fun diversion, good sealed road, plenty of twisties and 80kmh & 100kmh speep limits

Thanks for the tip, Ross. My girlfriends parents have a place a bit further towards the Prom than PI. The drive down is so boring, and where it's not boring it's riddled with pot holes.
Good to know there's a more interesting alternative.

Shh! Don't let on! The Loch-Wonthaggi Road is my favorite day-off morning fang. But while you're down that way, try the Dayleston - Glenn Forbes Road. Less traffic and a bit more challenging. Watch for roos though, particularly at dawn and dusk.
