Has anyone tried these roads? Sensational scenery, tight winding roads once you get past Cooma and even better once you turn onto the Cabramurra Road all the way into northern Victoria, great little towns, more great scenery............you get the idea.

Re: Canberra to Wodonga
It is a great drive. I haven't dríven it in the MX5 but in a Nissan Stagea and a few times in my van.
There is also a great road up to Tumbarumba (Goat Ridge Road). Took this road by mistake and it was turn after turn for 30km..
Boy did I enjoy it in the Stagea.

Made me wish I still had my R32 GTR. Sadly I was relegated to a 2006 Falcon for that trip.

We did the Goat Ridge Road with a group of North East Vic and Ballarat MX5 club members a couple of weeks ago and it was heaven on a stick, just sensational!!

Re: Canberra to Wodonga
Done most of the stuff around Tumut and Cabramurra and back to Tumbarumba - 1976 did a NSW Clubman Rally that was based at Talbingo village and ran most of the western side of Talbingo & Blowering Dam and some of those 'roads' were simply frightening!! Once did Tumbarumba to Cabramurra in a 180B SSS and in Cabramurra it started to snow heavy! Awesome drive along the Snowy Mtns Highway via Kiandra back to Tumut slipping and sliding [teeth rattling!] and even stopped at Yarrangobilly Caves for a swim!! The pool was surrounded with snow and it was snowing at the time!! Oh, BTW - thermal pool!!

Re: Canberra to Wodonga
On our way back from Canberra in the SE earlier this year, we did the Link Road off the Snowy Mountain Hwy onto Goat Ridge Road. First time we've done it in a car we could actually "drive" the road. Great fun.

Re: Canberra to Wodonga
Thanks for the updates. I had planned to use Goat Ridge Rd as part of the route from Tumut to Bairnsdale on the drive to Natmeet 2016 - it's now locked in!
