Nth Brisbane to Toowoomba

So, last weekend was a weekend away to go cruising and drinking.
My wife and I decided that we'd go check out some pubs in Toowoomba, with a beer garden stop for lunch on the way.
We left home at about 10.30 or so. We live in Wavell Heights, so we cruised west on Rode Rd and made our way out to Ferny Grove and Samford Village, and up to Mt Glorious.
After really enjoying the Mt Glorious road, crossing over the Mountain we then kept going west, going through Dundas, coming to a T piece we hooked a right on the Sommerset / Wivenhoe Road. Heading north zipping through Bryden. Eventually coming out to a T piece on the Esk Kilcoy Road take a left.
Onto the Brisbane Valley Highway for about 5km into Esk township.
Head through the main part of the Esk township and take a right onto the Esk / Hampton Road. From here it is essentially all signposted to Toowoomba anyway, so you can't get lost.
Once through Ravesnbourne and Perseverance you'll joine the New England Highway at Hampton. Take a left and you're only about 15 minutes from Toowoomba.
We decided on a pub lunch in a beer garden at the Meringandan pub, about 10km west of the New England Highway.
We had a great trip, with lots of twisty roads, and some faster straighter sections too.
She was plenty hot for the trip, so a fairly liberal application of sun screen was required.
We're still learning that the sun can find that damndest places to burn you to a crisp. I've now got an effective chain line on my neck, where the sunscreen missed being applied.
Weekends like this leave me looking for more mods:
Upper and Lower shift boots to reduce gear shifter heat
Full exhaust (or maybe replacement rear muffler to start of with just to have a little more growl to match the CAI.
