I stayed at a B n B over the weekend and the hosts advised of a short but steep and windy road off Henri Robert drive
It is not very well signed but is enjoyable going both down or up. It has some very tight corners!!

if you'd joined the club & come on some GC runs Jarron, you'd regularly travel that little deviation

Jaron,
What about the other thousand excellent driving roads B&B owners haven't told you about yet... Have you found them all???
I had an excellent track day yesterday too, only $85... Lakeside next month, possibly 2 days at Lakeside actually...
Gee I'm glad I'm I parted with $65 to join the club...

I dont understand why by simply advising people on a public forum which has nothing to do with any club that I then get flamed for not joining the club and that I will never find all these great roads.....
For the last time. I understand there is an mx5club.
I understand the advantages and disadvantages.
So please stop persisting I join.
Thanks

i agree,
this isnt the mx5 club website.
this is a club for mx5 owners.
you bunch are worse then a heap of telemarkerts...
stop posting sh*t about making people join the club! we've heard it all before,
i've joined the club before & it was sh*t, so why join again?
i have more fun on my own going through the mountians with a few mates rather then a long a slow process of 15-20 mx5's all straggeling along.

I will never understand people who enjoy driving fast but don't sign up for trackdays. For no other reason, the MX5 club membership is worth much more than a monetary fee.

Thanks JBT, road has been plugged into my GPS for future reference
and just my 2c re club membership or not;
- first couple of years or owning my MX-5, not knowing any other owners, and cruising solo = fun
- joined the occasional club cruise as a guest for a few years = fun
- going for cruises with friends I made through exposure to the club = fun
- joining the club and going for club cruises = fun
- going to track-days = fun
Anyone see the common denominator here?

not everyone has the same sentiment red especially with point 4. Everyone's different hence why many people on this forum are not members of the respective clubs and choose not to be. I'm sure Jaron has been here long enough to make up his own mind without anyone suggesting to 'join the club'.
This topic has nothing to do with $65, nor has it got to do with driving fast or doing track days. It's got everything to do with enjoying the cruise and sharing the Great Twist Roads with fellow forumites, period.
Stay on topic peeps.

Bumping an old post, but finally found this road last weekend. To be honest, I wouldn't bother. It's pretty short and the road surface is pretty average. On top of that it's actually a bit too steep and tight to really enjoy. Better off sticking to Henri Robert Drive, and then head down to Canungra and back via Tamborine Mountain Road.

<s>The temporary traffic lights adds something to the experience though.</s>
