Thoughts on an annual get together for people that do not want to spend $2000 for a 3 day getaway. Bulahdelah is 700k's from Brisbane..250 from Sydney. 500 from Canberra..1200 from Melbourne unfortunately. I own this old Motel and room costs are only $70 a night.. Ringwood hillclimb can be hired for $75.The hunter valley is full of good drives and things to do..Oxley highway is just up the road. It could be on the same weekend as the expensive Natmeet or any other long weekend.. Shoot me down in flames if you feel the need.
Im in and I don't even own a mx5 Ringwood is going to be awesome now that its extended!!
Great idea Patrick, alot less expensive coffee drinking too I imagine.

Not a bad idea Patrick! I'm not going to NatMeet as it's too far to drive in my car, but if the timing is right, I might be able to make it.
Heck, would be fun just as a short getaway / drive and hangout with the guys.

Sounds excellent to me. I would suggest doing it on a different weekend, as some folks might be interested in doing both. Perhaps even ~6 months after Easter, so as to space them out?

In for Wootton Way. Wootton Way is the best way.
Honestly.
Need I say more? This is the Nurburgring of Australia.

Pat,
I reckon you should organise this as a package - accommodation and meals at your place plus the event.
Name a date at price, and everyone rocks up.

Noticed Ringwood circuit has built a new driveway entrance on Saturday whilst driving past. Someone told me a millionaire owns Ringwood and wants to race his collection of exotic cars there.
What happened at the working bee?

I haven't seen that mentioned in the MG club magazine. Maybe they've confused it with the bloke down Peats Ridge way. Ringwood is still owned by the Newcastle MGCC and is currently undergoing major extensions.

Aiming for January..Maximum cost would be $100 per day if we provide Breakfast , lunch and dinner..Ringwood cost would be about $70 if we enter a normal event or $5 or $10 each if we hire the track and sort out our own timing..

This is starting to sound like a better deal than the usual track day! $150 each, overnight with all meals, a beautiful drive and a hillclimb to boot!
Would it be possible to pay the hillclimb group to organise the hillclimb part of the event for us? That way we have timing, plus the assurance of a tow car and ambulance (I assume?).
