Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place or if my searches over the last hour or so have also been in the wrong place, but now that I've got an MX5 with the power I always wanted I seem to need some driver training to do it justice.
So when and where can I get on a track and/or a skid pan, preferably South East of Melbourne??

Could try Motorkhana's if you haven't modded the SE too far from original
ClickyWARNING Your car might get dirty
Not much else other than DECA Days and Track Days put on by the various car clubs including the
MX5 ClubFor a list of CAMS events, try
hereAlso a DECA Day on the 25th Oct 09

Definately have a look at the MX5 club website & touch base with the Motorsport Captain.
If you want to do some advanced or high performance training try here.
www.johnbowedriving.com They run really good days and you will learn heaps whether your looking at Motorkhana or Sprints - Well worth every cent.
Good luck and Enjoy
Chris

Well she is quite modified - 170+rwkw. Don't mind her getting dirty though. So am I allowed to do Motorkanas?

Short answer - YES
If it is a road going MX5 it will fall into class B.
Class eligibility in Motorkhana is very open and is in accordance with
CAMS Group 4H.
Hope to see you at an event either as a competitor or a spectator.
