That is the CLUB WEBSITE - For viewing future event, details about the club, viewing club photos.

This is the CLUB FORUM - Used for general discussion, dicussions about future & past events.

And just to clear up one other thing.

Aus-cartalk (this forum)
Has no association with the Mazda MX5 Club of Queensland.

It is for the Australian MX5 community to discuss mx5 stuff.

That will be coming again soon.

However, the whole year's calendar is up on the website - with the exception of the Sunshine Coast Chapter plan at this stage. It's worth checking future events on the website and/or the forum every couple of weeks for updates .

Ann (aka BOV) and I will be attending... this year with the h.h.hard-top on in case of heavy rain (...as if!). I'm also planning to bring along some bunting with rope and stardroppers to separate the SPs from the \"other\" MX5s.

As yet there are no details on the club website events calendar about McLeans Bridge.

With Mother's day not far off it would be useful to know if the club is booked in - meeting point, start time, requirements (have they changed from previous years), cost of entry, etc etc etc...

Can someone from the club please advise either through here or through the usual email channels.

If it's the same as last year it will be (ish):

Meet at the Acacia Ridge Hotel car park at about 0830-0900 for a short drive to the venue. Entry was $4 ? per car. Food/drinks are available there from the usual chip/burger/hotdog health food bus  , otherwise BYO.

Requirements were to turn up with a clean car so it can get dusty, enjoy yourself, talk to heaps of people, perv at heaps of cars, take heaps of photos and then go home when you (or the other half) were sick of it.

If you plan around that you won't be too far off.

OK - so who's going and if anyone's bringing SWMBOs, do you want to share the preparation of a suitable picnic styled hamper with appropriate refreshments to keep the SWMBOs happy?

Seats, rugs, etc???

I'm taking SWMBO with the intention of identifying possible wedding cars for later this year, but if others are taking their better half, it would certainly help my cause to be prepared.

We're going but will most likely have our fortnightly junk food day that day. 8)

Details are up on the club website.

Costs have not been confirmed but expect $5 - $10 per car.
