hey guys, im super keen for a dyno day and/or a poker run that the bikers do.
poker run basically involves 5 locations and at each you are givin a card, who ever has the best poker hand at the fith location wins the kitty or prise
i just have no idea whats involved with planning or organising either. i know there are a few out there that are keen for a dyno day, dont know about the poker run.

reasonably simple
most importantly figure out a route.
find some placese to stop for smoke breaks, pee stops & so on.
try to avoid going mutch longer than 1 hr solid driving.
always consider slower drivers & drivers with weak bladders.
a few weeks before, do the reccie run yourself especially if you the run hasn't been run before.
note down km for turns , traffic lights, roundabouts.& so on, anything you feel will make it easier for the dummies......
its not critical to get the distances absolutely correct but reasonably accurate so if someone does get lost ....it easie for them to find thier way to the next meeting place. Peoples speedos will vary a little so you will never gat it totally accurate.
if you do bother to go to the trouble of making a run sheet.....make sure your font is a reasonable size. not everyones vision is as good as yours may be.
If you do it for the Club. get in touch with the comitte.....surely they'll be more than happy to send you a Standart template
then also speak to the cafe's at the stop.... can they cope with 20-30 cars turning up. Or even just out of courtesy.
poker run sounds fun.....the club has had one before. I thought it was quite funny. It must be 4-5 years ago at least so.....do it.
also organise yourself a tail gunner to bring up the rear end.
its always easier to controll 15 cars than 30 in 1 lot. I'd break them up if the no gets bigger than 15 in total.
the comitte may have different idears check with them also. Runs have been run quite different over the years. I have been to great many of them.

Well said Stefan!
Jean is looking after the Captains role until one is found so email her on
vicepres@mx5.com.au and tell her your ideas, they are always after people to suggest a run for the club!
